On 1 June 2008, the Chinese Embassy in Singapore received S$ 2.5 million of donation funds for the people in the earthquake-stricken areas in Sichuan, China. From 13 May till now, the Embassy has received S$ 13.5 million (about RMB 69.12 million), and about 35,000 person-times have come to the Embassy for donation.
