On 23 May 2008, the Chinese Embassy in Singapore received S$ 0.7 million of donation funds for the people in the earthquake-stricken areas in Sichuan, China. From 13 May till now, the Embassy has received S$ 8.7 million (about RMB44.54 million), and about 27,000 person-times have come to the Embassy for donation.
