On 21 May 2008, the Chinese Embassy in Singapore received S$2.7 million of donation funds for the people in the earthquake-stricken areas in Sichuan, China. From 13 May till now, the Embassy has received S$ 7 million (about RMB 35.84 million), and about 20,000 person-times have come to the Embassy for donation.
