On 31 May 2008, the Chinese Embassy in Singapore received S$ 850,000 of donation funds for the people in the earthquake-stricken areas in Sichuan, China. From 13 May till now, the Embassy has received S$ 11 million (about RMB 56.32 million), and about 33,000 person-times have come to the Embassy for donation.
