Ambassador Zhang Accepts T.E.D Huaxia?s Donation to China?s Fight against SARS

On May 27, T.E.D Huaxia School of Management, Singapore held an official ceremony to present a RMB1 million donation to the Ministry of Education of China aiding China’s combat against SARS. H. E. Ambassador Zhang Jiuhuan, on behalf of the Chinese MOE attended the ceremony and accepted the donation. In his speech, Ambassador Zhang said that the Chinese government acted bravely facing the sudden-coming menace of SARS, who took active and decisive anti-SARS measures and made remarkable progress in epidemic-control. However, the situation is still austere and the future task is expected with considerable difficulties. At the critical moment of combating SARS, T.E.D. Huaxia supported China with its actual efforts, which represents its care, sincerity and friendship to the Chinese people. Upon the request from the faculty and students, Ambassador Zhang wrote down his dedication to the School then and there, ‘Promoting Hua Xia Spirits, Winning against SARS Hand in Hand’.
At the ceremony, the Chinese Embassy’s Education Counsellor Mr.Wang Yongli, announced the letter of appreciation from the Chinese Vice Education Minister Mr. Zhang Xinsheng to T.E.D. Huaxia. In the letter, Mr. Zhang highly appreciates the donation of T.E.D Huaxia, and expresses his heartfelt gratitude and respect to the students and staff members of T.E.D Huaxia.
T.E.D Huaxia School of Management?known as a private school in Singapore, boasts of some 350 Chinese students, who are taking courses of graduate diplomas, bachelor degrees and MBA. With the RMB 1 million donation set aside from its college development fund, the school paid their solemn salute to the Chinese medical staffs, who fight against SARS at the epidemic-control frontier. Besides, it expressed its confidence in China’s final winning against SARS.
